Among Hawaii’s many Islands, Hawaii, the big island is the most extreme. It is possible to swim and tan in one of its famous beaches while viewing a snow capped peak of Mauna Kea. Where else in the world?
A favourite destination in the island is Parker Ranch and stands out as the Hawaii Islands largest private cattle ranch. It features its very own Hawaiian Cowboys. It was said that Parker had befriended King Kamehameha, married a princess and built Hawaii’s cattle industry.
Another must see is the Volcano National Park. It was declared a national park in 1916 and consists of the summits of Kilauea and Mauna Loa. With Hawaiian volcanoes more gentle than usual. Visitors can actual view lava mud and rocks seeping from the peaks traversing crevasses all the way to the beaches along the Pacific.

There are other attractions in the island such as the beautiful beaches, farmers market, museums, factories aside from the many luxurious hotels and commercial centers. But when in Hawaii, one normally just takes in the scenery as he or she is hardly exposed to volcanoes and its effects on an island.
